The Greatest Moment in the History of the USA...
I’m white. I was born in Greenville SC in 1955. I was introduced formally to the issue of racism in America when I was 8 years old.
As I sat in the back of the all white school bus on the way home one afternoon, I heard a chant coming from a group of kids gathered at the front of the bus around the driver. It was a haunting sing song refrain and I distinctly remember thinking (a few seconds before I could make out the words) that whatever those kids were singing was scary. Then the words became clear to me. They were repeating over and over “The *igger lover’s dead, the *igger lover’s dead.”
When I got home I found my mother had come home early from work and she and our African American babysitter Mariah were huddled together on the couch crying hysterically. They just looked at me and shook their heads and went back to crying.
By the time I was 12 my family had moved to the Atlanta area. My younger siblings, Steve and Audrey and I were surprised to be told one morning by our mother June that we weren’t going to school that day. She dressed us up and we went to walk in the funeral procession of Martin Luther King. During the eulogy a large black man reached down and picked up my little blond haired eight year old brother without a word and put him on his shoulders so he could see the proceedings.
Although most white people I knew growing up in the South weren’t racist I had more than enough evidence to realize that ‘it was out there’ and I thought I had left that all behind when I moved to Boston MA in 1990.
Then one day as I walked down Commonwealth Avenue , in the shadow of the giant CITGO sign I passed an elderly black man walking the opposite way on the sidewalk. As I nodded a car full of young white men drove past us and shouted ‘*igger’ in unison. As I barked ‘Fuc* you!’ they retorted ‘*igger lover!’ and sped away. I looked back at the gentleman and said ‘I’m sorry about that.’ He just smiled a sad smile and said ‘That’s OK.’ and kept on walking.
Ironically, that’s the only time anyone ever called me that to my face, not far from John F. Kennedy’s birthplace. I don’t think America is worse than other nations in terms of racism. In some ways you can argue that the USA is the only place racially diverse enough to be considered a true test of a society’s ability to peacefully integrate different races.
Barack Obama being elected president surely won’t mean the end of racism in America, but in my opinion and I think that of my mother June who passed on some years back, I believe that it is the greatest moment in the history of our country.

........L i v e... O r... D i e... America...!
We have got to start spending hundreds of billions of dollars on two things.
To modernize our infrastructure and create jobs. These things can be accomplished simultaneously and for the good of us all in the long run. It's just common sense.
Boost the economy and improve our land value at once.
Rail expansion nationwide, build a whole new set of tracks.
Electric grid expansion.
Fiber Optic expansion.
Create jobs, increase property value.
Why Not?
We can't afford not to.

PITBULLS AGAINST PALIN...........
We demand that that ugly hateful hockey-mom stop comparing herself to us!
Even with lipstick she is NO Pitbull!
My dog-god! Hockey is such a phony violent sport.
How can hockey-moms subject their pups to such violence?
Dog-fighting is civilized compared to hockey.
PALIN BITES!

OBAMA SPEECH:...................................
OBAMA SPEECH:.................................
America's Soldiers are Victors...
It's our Strategies that I would change.
If I were president I would have soldiers and victory in Afghanistan,
Where Osama Bin Laden came from,
And we'd have about a 90% better chance of having caught him,
But we will catch him,
In my administration.

Gut check for the left…
I don’t want to bring you down and please don’t think I’m quitting, I’m not.
But at this moment when the Palin nomination seems to have erased any lead we had in the polls, I just want to take a moment to say that I hope we won’t make ourselves physically ill with worrying about this whole thing.
I know that Steve and Lucinda and I have gotten a little ‘blue faced’ at the opposition and we are taking the whole thing very personally. We can’t afford to let politics kill us.
Joe Biden and Barack Obama (and the other side) are living their dreams and win or lose they will come out of all this with more power and fame and money than we can ever dream of. A loss will be easier for them to take than us and we can’t pretend that we’re in their boat.
More important than winning is trying, trying not just to win, but to make things better, to push things in the right direction. We have already accomplished a great deal. When all the campaigning started the conversation was all about whether to stay in Iraq forever or leave soon. Bush and McCain have been pushed by Obama and the Iraqi leadership to accept the fact that our time in Iraq is winding down.
But presidents never win announcing defeat, he needs to say this, I think.

Boycott Hallmark Cards!
The banner ad they are running in USA Today purposely uses a picture of Obama looking 'mean and scary' whereas the pictures of other political figures are jovial.
This is illegal subconcious negative advertising!

What kind of ism is this?
Fact:
If Obama had a 17 year old unwed pregnant daughter he would be disqualified outright.

Y O U N G.....F E M A L E.....W.
Palin chews her words and spits them out and grunts between lines and uses off color, gutteral and warlike metaphors.
She is lustful of violence in her language.
A young female W.
It's the last thing America needs, but will we buy it again?

PALIN V OBAMA
NO MATTER HOW CAPABLE HE WAS TWO YEARS AGO OBAMA WAS NOT READY TO BE ON A PRESIDENTIAL TICKET BECAUSE HE WASN'T KNOWN AND TRUSTED WELL ENOUGH BY AMERICA.
HE CHOSE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT THOUGH.
AND NOW AFTER TWO YEARS OF MICROSCOPIC SCRUTINY AND WINNING HIS PARTY'S NOMINATION HE'S PROVEN THAT HE IS READY.
WE ONLY HAVE TWO MONTHS TO EVALUATE PALIN AND THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE GAUNTLET OF PRIMARIES TO TEST HER WITH.
JOHN MCCAIN HAD NO BUSINESS PUTTING US IN THIS IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION.
FORGET PALIN, MCCAIN HAS DISQUALIFIED HIMSELF WITH THIS IDIOTIC AND MANIPULATIVE NOMINATION!

UN Facility in Israel
Put a great UN facility in Israel.
To protect and educate.
A Middle Eastern UN for that side of the world.
The right medicine.
Not a military base but a diplomatic facility like the UN in NY, with large security, but primarily diplomatic.
Each country could have representataives to each UN which could meet in either place or simultaneously. Voting would be doubled.
We can solve problems through communication.

VIAGRA VP!
She is the VIAGRA VP!
I swear to god, I think he was on Viagra and he got so horny that he picked her out of pure lust. Supposedly they met just once before he picked her. VIAGRA. Look at this quote...
"She's exactly who I need. She's exactly who this country needs to help me fight the same old Washington politics of 'Me first and country second,' " McCain declared as the pair stood together for the first time at a boisterous rally in Ohio just days before the opening of the party's national convention."
Then he did just that. He said "To know her is to love her". He doesn't know her but he loves her. He has a crush on his VP! Crazy.

I am Barack, I am Biden
I am Barack, I am Biden
(to the tune of Simon and Garfunkel 'I am a rock...')
This country's crawling, just waiting for November.
When Bush-Cheney's a memory.
They've had no need for friendship, they've caused us so much pain...
There's no way that we're voting for McCain!I am Barack, I am Bidenhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPSzFYKuvI4
