All of mainstream media failed to give the general public the truth before the war which was that successfully occupying Iraq was not possible for the US according to practically 100% of all Middle East experts.

Even if it had been proven that Iraq had nuclear weapons and bad intentions the solution would have never been occupation, but intense air-strikes.

I said and posted online (before the war started) that "Once the initial occupation is over, from that point forward Iraq will be exactly like the occupied territory in Israel, but on a much more massive scale, until the US leaves."
