Within and Within and Within...

If you believe in Love, then you must look within your enemy, for the heart of God.

Since WWII Ended...

Israel is the only country that hasn't given back land that was taken as part of that conflict.

Good Job Ahmadinejad!

The Iranian President couldn't unload his bushel of olive branches in his visit to Columbia University today, but he made a nice try.

I was red-faced ashamed to hear Columbia President Bollinger introduce Ahmadinejad with a suitcase full of bile worthy of that political pr0-wrestler Sean Hannity. He might as well have said 'Look buddy, we think you people want to kill us, so we're gonna kill you first!' Bollinger was itching for a fight. I wish the Iranian President had re-used his line from 60 Minutes, "This is not Abu Ghraib!"

And will SOMEONE please answer Ahmadinejad's question...'Assuming all accepted history of the Holocaust is perfectly true, then the Jewish people were exterminated by Europeans, by Germans. The Palestinians had nothing to do with the Holocaust. So why must they pay the price?'

He has asked this question many times, but no one ever tries to answer it. I personally am determined that Israel must survive in a peaceful Holy Land, but in order for the Israelis to feel the motivation to make the necessary concessions to bring about that peace, the world must come to know and accept the truth of Israel's creation.

Israel was created in 1948 after WWII by the victorious world powers. Most of the world certainly agreed that the Jewish people of Europe deserved peace, but the results of creating a nation based on race and religion was a victory for Jew-haters worldwide. The creation of a nation for a a specific race vindicated their racism and facilitated their efforts at expunging the Jewish people from their communities throughout Europe.

I believe that Jerusalem should be the capital of the world, governed by the United Nations and the Holy Land should be a democracy.

Just a thought. Love

God is talking to us.

There is a nature to our universe that forces us in the direction of goodness and love. Even if this force is only defined by the danger of our mortal lives.

Our little candles of our life are so vulnerable to the whims of great warfare and to the volatility of our advanced technology that allowed for the terrible events of 9-11.

If we don't find peace as nations and as groups and individuals, then our every technological advancement is the enemy of the good. Because these new marvels are reduced to the means of our mutual destruction.

We are a very small planet in the middle of nothing at all that can help us survive, except our sun. Despite all that we have accomplished, we are in greater global peril today than the dinosaurs were when they were eliminated by natural disasters, an issue that we pay no attention to at all.

Only our embrace of cooperation and rejection of conflict can make us safe. To me, God is just another word for 'the way it is'.

Ahead of bin Laden

My post from yesterday was a step ahead of bin Laden's statement released today calling for the overthrow of Pakistan President Musharraf. Please go back and read it if you haven't.

We can't control the world, even if we wanted to. The USA must begin to make some friends in the Islamic world if we are to avoid serious and unecessary military conflict. This would come not just from Muslim nations, but from Russia and China too. WE DO NOT WANT THIS.

It's all going to end the same way anyway, with a handshake and an apology.

Let the handshakes begin!

Love or Die!

...According to poll results from Pakistan* (a nuclear power) "bin Laden has a 46 percent approval rating. Pakistan President Musharraf's support is 38 percent and U.S. President George W. Bush's approval rating is 9 percent."
* Terror Free Tomorrow-poll.

No wonder we can't find bin Laden. If these poll results are true, then we are near, if not at, nuclear global checkmate. That is the point at which, only one more major aggression by a nuclear power against another (or an ally of another) could trigger two nations exchanging nuclear attacks. So that 'nuclear' becomes a 'necessary method of self-defense'. NMSD. We don't want that.

Up to now, because of the unspeakable horrors of WWII, the use of atomic weapons to end that war is seen as morose, but forgiven, by the world as a whole. Further nuclear conflict is avoidable, but inevitable without friendship amongst present enemies. The apex is theMiddle East, from Pakistan to Israel, but it could spread globally, from Russia and China to America. Any attack on Iran by the USA or Israel could throw control of Pakistan's nuclear weapons into the hands of bin Laden' supporters and then all bets are off.

You may say that the USA needs to wipe-out Muslim extemism, via warfare. The truth is, the US and Israel, nor anyone else in the world, best make any bold moves, anytime soon, lest we light up this planet in a very bad way.

Now we really do have to learn how to get along, no matter what your philosophy or religion may be. How do you like them apples?

It's Love or Die.
